Nicole Allan, journalist & attorney
I started my career as a writer and editor for The Atlantic, covering the 2010 midterm elections and editing front-of-book and feature articles for the magazine. I helped found the award-winning California Sunday Magazine and have since written freelance articles about Kamala Harris and other legal topics for California Sunday, the New York Times, and Slate. I have also done audio work and appeared on TV.
I graduated from Stanford Law School in 2018 and clerked for a federal judge. I currently work for a corporate law firm, specializing in appeals and other writing-intensive cases. I do a lot of pro bono work on reproductive-freedom and criminal-defense issues.
